Trying to cancel trial subscription

I do not need a drop box account; was unclear about what it even was when I signed up for the free trial. I went into my account, and cancelled it, but I have not gotten any verification that it actually cancelled. It was a business account. All it said was that I not longer had a "team" account, but individual accounts remained. I don't need the service, and certainly don't intend to pay $750 if I can't figure out how to cancel this. I have looked all over the site to see if I need to do something else, but not clear. Why I hate signing up for these free things. Feel like I get trapped. Please help!

Hey there @Renau - what does your account's plan tab state at the moment? 

You can find that here: https://www.dropbox.com/account/plan 

If you see that you're on a basic account, then you have successfully cancelled your trial. If it shows you're still on a Business plan, you can downgrade it through your account's settings at: https://www.dropbox.com/team/admin/billing/manage

Note that if you have successfully cancelled your trial the above link will not work for you Renau. 

If you still have questions or billing inquiries, I'd suggest that you logged a ticket with our team so we can help with all of our tools available.

I have been trying to cancel a trial subscription for over an hour!  I need help, nothing I've tried has worked.  Please someone help. If I don't cancel 24 hours before Dec. 5, I will be charged and I don't want it!!!

What type of account is this for, personal (Plus, Professional) or Business?

For personal accounts: https://www.dropbox.com/help/space/cancel-plus

For Business accounts: https://www.dropbox.com/help/business/cancel-subscription

If it was a trial that you started within a mobile app, then you'll need to cancel the subscription within the app store for your device.

Here's how @Depurcel!

If the trial was initiated from our website you should be able to cancel it from your account's tab at: https://www.dropbox.com/account/plan or through your Admin's Console if the trial was for a Dropbox for Business team plan at: 

https://www.dropbox.com/team/admin/billing/manage

If you started the trial by upgrading through your mobile's app store take a look below: 

1. How to cancel a free trial from the Apple App Store:

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, tap Settings.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap iTunes & App Store. 
  4. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen, then tap View Apple ID. 
  5. Tap Subscriptions (about midway through the screen).
  6. Tap Dropbox.
  7. Tap Cancel Subscription.
  8. Tap Confirm.
  9. Restart the Dropbox app on your iOS device.

2. How to cancel a free trial from Google Play

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store. 
  2. Check if you’re signed in to the correct Google Account.
  3. Tap Menu and then Subscriptions.
  4. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription.
  6. Restart the Dropbox app on your Android device.

3. How to cancel a free trial from the Dropbox app:

  1. In your Dropbox app, tap Account.
  2. Tap Change or Cancel Plan.
  3. Tap Manage your subscriptions.
  4. Open the iTunes Store.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription.
  6. Tap Confirm.
  7. Start the Dropbox app on your iOS device.

You may need to restart the Dropbox app to see these changes take effect.

[Important: you must cancel your Dropbox free trial exactly the same way that you signed up for it. For example, if you signed up from the Apple app store, you must cancel it from the Apple app store too.]
