Trying to listen to and audio file

Trying to listen to and audio file

I haven't been on Drop box in some time. I was never able to access it or use it so I gave up. I now had a friend send me some audio files to drop box. When I finally found them on the site it says I have exceeded my allowed content. How is this possible when I have never been able to use your site. How do I open these audio files? The site wants me to pay money for something I have never been able to use. This seems like a scam with no guarantee I'll be able to access these audio files. What should I do?

I would be willing to pay money to listen but I have no assurance that the site will suddenly work when I have never been able to use it  before. I am somewhat computer illiterate. I know how to do what I know how to do but have problems with new processes like uploading and such. This seems like a scam with no guarantee I'll be able to access these audio files. What should I do?

Simply put if your friend has shared them to you in read write format they use up your quota and so you need to have enough space in your account to get them.

If you just need read access to them tell them to send you a shared link instead to get them and download them via the website
