Up grading our existing Dropbox storage for our group of 25 people

We are a Scout group and have been using drop box for many years very sucsesfully.  Allowing all leaders, helpers and retired members to share and have access to every thing we do and have in the group.  We have had all this completley free.

We now have all our photographs diditalised in an archive from 1900 to date.  This is currentley 10Gb of photo's which is about as much as we will have for a while. We want to share these with the 25 people that are linked to our account and understand that we now need to start paying a monthly fee.  My qeeries are can we do this by paying 1 fee to cover all our group or does each person have to register and pay a fee, if this is the case what happens if they pull out or new people want to be included? Can you let me know please what the best way is for us to proceed and how we do it.

Thanking you  Steven Johnson

Hi @Stevejohnson

The best way to proceed would be via Dropbox for Buisness. That way its centralised billing and you can add/remove people at will.

You can get info on that via www.dropbox.com/business 🙂

Hi @Stevejohnson, if everyone needs needs to be able to access and edit those files, then as @Mark suggested, a Dropbox Business plan would be needed.

However, if the users only need to see the files, you could upgrade your own account to a paid personal plan, and share links to the folders, so they can be viewed from the site without an account. If they need to add more files to your account, you could create a file request to do so, again without requiring a Dropbox account.

If you need any more details, feel free to message back!

Jay,

Thank you so much i have joined personaly, downloaded all content and invited the first person.  Not sure if you can only invite 1 at a time or as many as you want. Once they have added there photos i will change the setting to view only.

Once again thank you for your help

Steve
