Upgrading from Dropbox Plus to Professional

Upgrading from Dropbox Plus to Professional

New member | Level 2

I'm considering subscribing to Dropbox Plus or Professional. I would want to start my experience with Plus version, as it is cheaper and the only real feature I would want from the Professional version is the 180 day recovery tools (instead of 30 days). So, my question is - what options would I have if I go for monthly subscription Plus plan and want to upgrade to Professional, lets say, few months down the road? And how would the upgrade look from a financial perspective if I would go for the annual plan (that is, at start I pay for the whole first year of Dropbox Plus)?

Re: Upgrading from Dropbox Plus to Professional

Hi there @RadekSkylark, I hope you're well today!

If you choose to start out with the Plus subscription and then want to upgrade to Professional at a later date, you would pay the proportional amount for the time remaining on your current cycle when upgrading.

For example, if you just started the month and upgrade to Professional then you will just pay the difference between the monthly subscription prices. If you're half way through the month, then it will be half of that difference.

It would be the same logic if you choose the annual plan too, just paying the additional price difference in the plans proportional to the amount of time left on your current cycle.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions!
