VAT on invoice of PLUS plan

I just started a small "company" on top of my dayjob and I am looking for a service like Dropbox but need more space than the Dropbox free plan offers. Given that the "company" is just me and I don't need any collaboration, the PLUS plan seems best. The company options require at least three users (or payment for three users). Can I get my VAT information mentioned on the invoice of a PLUS plan? If that's not an option, I'll have to look at other services. Thanks.

Hi there @vansteenw, welcome to the Dropbox Community!

Currently, you can add a VAT ID number to your Dropbox account if you're on a Professional or Business subscription. You can find more info about this here.

Also to add you don’t need YOUR vat number on to claim VAT back. You just need the other organisations. Simply put it through your accounts as normal.

Just be cautious that it is described as a home user product and so some tax jurisdictions may say it’s not eligible for relief.

Exactly as @Mark mentions, spot on!

Although the Professional and Business subscriptions allow you to put a VAT number in directly, if you want to use a Plus plan, you can change your account name to your business name as described in this article as a workaround. 

Please note that, in the steps offered, you can put your VAT number in your name and the company's name in the surname fields, or vice versa.

I don't think I have a professional or business account.  Does that mean that I cannot do this?

You can check your account's subscription by going to the Plan tab

 

If you find that you have a Plus account, you can try out the workarounds that are proposed in this thread.
