View list of files downloaded

Explorer | Level 3

I had a security compromise in my account earlier today. To measure the imapct can I see if any file was downloaded ? I killed all active sessions and can see a list of file that were viewed in that duration but do not see any file added/deleted. My main concern is if any file was downloaded as well. Can it be possible to find it out.

Hi @vasujain, thanks for messaging the Community!

I'm sorry to hear about this situation. Currently, only team admins on a Dropbox Business team on an Advanced plan can see downloads of files in shared folders using these steps.

There isn't a direct method to see if users have downloaded files on your account if they logged into it from the site, via connecting a desktop device.

If you wish, you can suggest this change for others to vote on, so the dev team can look into this in future.

Upgrading to a Dropbox Business team isn't retroactive, so it wouldn't allow you to view any activity prior to the team creation.

Since personal accounts don't have download logs for files, even on our end, it wouldn't be possible to provide information on any files which could have been downloaded.
