We got an error about reaching the invite limit and we've never seen it before

New member | Level 2

We have used DropBox as a professional tool for more than five years.

We are a motion picture lab and we develop and scan 8mm 16mm and 35mm film for everyone from students to top tier professionals in the Film and TV industries.

We ahve used DropBox to upload and share motion picture film scans and it has worked flawlessly.

Until Sunday 08/22/20 when DropBox failed and became a totally useless system, we get continuous "You have reached your share limit try again in 24hrs" errors which we have never seen before in more than half a decade of professional use.

Absolutely disapointing failure of what was a great system.

Hi @Cinelab, thanks for reaching out to us.

Usually, when you see such an error message, it generally means that you've sent a lot of invitations within a short period of time and, as it suggests, you must wait 24 hours.

Once those 24 hours pass, you can send another invitation.

There's more information about this and other common sharing errors, here

Let us know if you have any other questions, cheers!
