We're having an issue with a password reset. Any ideas?

New member | Level 2

We have a team within dropbox which the admin was a formal staff ember with our company.  We need to be able to access her dropbox account which we dont know the password to.

When she left, her email was deleted which was used to log into dropbox, which now we have recreated and have been trying to reset the password to get the reset link to her email. But when we try, we dont recieve the reset password link.

We know her email is still registered with dropbox because when trying to create a new dropbox account with the same email, it says it is already registered.

What can we try?

Thanks for letting me know @mediatcok  - I've just found it on our system and passed your comments there so we can have all the relevant information under the same email chain.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with.

Hey there @Peter F.56, sorry to hear about this.

When you request a password reset, the email comes from no-reply@dropbox.com. If you don't receive this email, it’s possible that address is blocked. Check to see if the email arrived in the junk/spam folder. If it didn’t, add no-reply@dropbox.com to the address book and then try the reset again.

Let me know how it goes!

The best way to get assistance with such account specific inquiries is through our Official Channels @mediatcok.

You can log a ticket from the following page: https://www.dropbox.com/support

Let me know the ticket's ID so I can locate it on system and get on it if needed.

Thanks!

I do not see anywhere to submit a ticket, but I did email support.
