Hi,
Can someone guide as to what happens to the extra GBs earned and added to Basic Plan thru various referrals if one upgrades / subscribes to and plan and if for some reason one is not happy with the cost doing the justice once decides to cancels subscription which means downgrading to the basic plan.
Upon downgrading / cancelling the subscription, will I loose all the extra GBs earned as part of referrals?
Hello @nozert, you will retain your referral space after you downgrade. The referral space is 500 MB per referral for free/basic account, and 1 GB per referral for Plus and Premium accounts. So say, you earned 5GB through 10 referrals, you will have 2GB + 5GB = 7GB total space when you are having basic account. Once you upgrade to Plus or Premium you will have 2TB or 3TB (depending on your plan) + 10GB (your referral space will double). If you downgrade to free account again, you will be back to 7GB.
Thanks, this helps.... I really hope dropbox learns from Microsoft and Google to come up with small size (economical) plans for individual.
Dropbox have previously said they've no plans for smaller plans.
