What is the storage space threshold for desktop push notifications?

What is the storage space threshold for desktop push notifications?

turn off notifications
Explorer | Level 3

It would appear that Dropbox pushes advertisements onto my operating system because I am nearing the end of my free storage space.

This is not cool.

How do I disable "out of space" notifications that push me to upgrade?

If they cannot be disabled (I wouldn't be surprised that dropbox would take away that level of consumer control over a free product)

then what threshold do the notifications stop?

Thank you.

Hi there @turn off notifications, thanks for posting!

There isn't currently a way to disable this notification for your account, I'm afraid.

The notification will be sent when you're almost at the storage capacity of your account.

We do have a request for an option to disable this notification here, in our dedicated area of the Community.

While I understand it's not much, I can suggest adding your vote there to show your interest in this.

I hope this helps to some extent, let me know if you have any questions!

Ah, I understand.

Because of this policy, I will be closing my Dropbox account. I understand advertisements within the program, but I categorically reject the notion that it requires desktop push notifications to do so.

Thank you.
