Explorer | Level 3

Hi,

As I remember, I sign up Dropbox account before 2010 and that time the app have a promotion ( now still be continious) which can earn 500MB for every friend invited.

I had at least invited 10+friends to signup successful, and got 5GB++ space that time...

but, why my acc still 2GB space, since I didnt log in in 2013-2018 (coz of China Firewall) dun know this situation...

Hey again @fishfishfly,

So I'd like to reach out to you through our Support channel so that we can look into this in a little more detail and see if there’s anything we can do. Would you mind if I reach out to the email address associated with your Community profile so that we can continue the discussion there?

Otherwise, if you already have already submitted a ticket with Support, please feel free to let me know the ticket reference number (eg. #1234567) so that I can follow up with the info you provided here.

Let me know - Thanks!

Hey there @fishfishfly,

The space that you earned from referring others to join Dropbox doesn’t expire in your account. However, can you clarify for me, when you recently accessed your account did you sign in or did you create a new Dropbox account?

Could you let me know if you received any emails from Dropbox, to the email address associated with your Dropbox account, about inactivity of your account? If an account is inactive (no sign in to the account) for an extended period, then it is possible that the account was closed and you created a new account under that email address.

Let me know what you find - Thanks!

Hi Daphne,

"If an account is inactive (no sign in to the account) for an extended period, then it is possible that the account was closed and you created a new account under that email address."...

Yes, i think it is possible... coz of China firewall, i had 4years (around) din use Dropbox, although I like this product. But, I havent received any email about inactivate my account... so, if i create a NEW acc via the same email account, is it mean the space I earn ( I swear, at least 7GB+) lost ard?
