Has anyone else experiences an increase in monthly fee from $9.99 to $11.99 without previous conscent? 

I can't reach anyone in dropbox and the chat lady does not answer my inquiry either.

I tried to email, but they want me to include my credit card information.  I'm affraid I will be charged for something I don't want.

The monthly cost of Dropbox is $11.99 when you pay monthly. It's $9.99 per month if you pay for a year at a time. The increase was part of a plan upgrade that took place last May and went into effect at the end of everyone's billing cycle at that time. The upgrade included more storage and additional features.

 

No consent is required for such a change, though they do send an email to the address associated with the account prior to the change taking place. This particular plan upgrade was also announced on Dropbox's blog.

 

If you post your ticket number one of the Dropboxers can look into the status of the ticket.
