I've had a basic Dropbox account for years, used to share files between family and friends. I had to go retrive some files recently only to find my entire account was gone! Randomly deleted!! All files totally lost forever!!! I've been trying to get in touch with support which apparently doesn't exist! Anyone else have or hear of this problem? Anyone know how to get actual help from Dropbox?
@Lusil , Thanks for your response.
I'm definitley using the correct email address. In fact, when I went to Login it did not recognize my email address. I tried several times. Dropbox didn't recognize the email address I've used for years to login with. I couldn't even get a prompt to re-set a password. Thinking maybe that was the issue. But nope, nothing, my account is 100% gone!! It's so bizzard. I have no idea why Dropbox would do this. It has been some time since I've used it recently, maybe 1-2 years since I last logged in. I could always pull files I needed from my email link, which was worked. Then again I haven't needed to access any files/links/Dropbox files for 1-2 years. What makes this really bizarre, is I have a second Dropbox account (for work) that I've had even longer, and use even less that is still 100% functional!
Any help would be much appreciated.
You can reply at http://dropbox.zendesk.com if needed 🙂
You will need to do a password reset for it though as its a diff system
