Hi @Coraspondence; welcome to our Community!

I'm not sure I understand your concern, could you please elaborate a tad on this so I can advise further?

Thanks!

Hi Walter,

Intermittently, I recieve notifications about my dropbox, like this:

Your Dropbox is full and is no longer syncing files. New files added to your Dropbox folder won't be accessible on your other devices and won't be backed up online.

Upgrade your Dropbox today and get up to 3 TB (3,000 GB) of space and powerful sharing features.

I do have many photos and documents stored here that I do not wish to lose but I have not actively used this account for a few years. If I do nothing, IE, if I do not upgrade, what will be the consequences? Will my photos and documents still be safely stored? Will they be stored indefinitely?

thanks for reaching out,

Cora

Thanks for the additional info, Cora.

This message suggests that your account is over its allocated quota, so you won't be able to sync any more files; the ones you already have in your account are not affected at all.

Just note that if you don't access your account for some time, it might get closed due to inactivity.

You can read all about this and how to tackle it here

I hope this clears things up and please let me know if you have any other questions.
