inability to restore user name/ email address

inability to restore user name/ email address

By some happenstance my email address (which I used to log in as a user name)  was changed to end .co.ukk. Naturally it can no longer be recognised. When I wend to my account to modify my email address back to the previous .co.uk  I was told it is already taken and no longer valid. I can therefore no longer  log in and cannot change back my user name. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Hi @jun9p5r3ot, let's see what we can do here. 

 

Just to make sure that we cover as much initial ground as possible, could you let me know if you've tried changing the email to a completely different one?
