Yestesrday I got a new computer and installed dropbox. When I logged into my account it showed only 2 GB of storage, but I had 4.8 GB of storage when using the previous computer. How can I resume getting 4.8. Thanks for any help.

Hey Lee14, that’s odd; let’s have a second look together!

Generally speaking, if you’ve been able to gather some extra space by referring your friends & family to Dropbox (which is very much appreciated if you’ve done so by the way) or through Promotions, this will stick to your account for as long as it remains active. This shouldn't affect you as you're following the installation flow in any way unless you connect a different account on this device accidentally.

I’m wondering if you have two accounts & the extra space has been registered with your second one. Can you quickly navigate on your Plan tab & let me know what you see there?

Thanks!

Hi. You're correct. I was logging into an account I must have established at a different time with a different email address. I've now logged in with the correct email and my correct storage is back. Sorry for the false alarm.

No worries @Lee14, glad to hear that my reply ringed a bell & you can now use the extra space with your new computer; admittedly that's handy!

Happy Dropboxing ahead & have a wonderful rest of your day! 😊
