Thanks for using Dropbox! The desktop client is regularly updated with many improvements and fixes.
 

Features in this update:

  • Improved migration and initial sync performance for Dropbox for macOS.
  • Improved initial backup performance for large external drives. 

 
Fixes in this update:

  • Fixed a bug that prevented online-only files from being launched from the File Explorer on certain versions of Windows 10 and above. 
  • Fixed a bug where Mac users were unable to make sync progress or download online-only files. 
  • Fixed an issue where computer backup appeared to back up indefinitely. 
  • Fixed an issue for some macOS users who were experiencing crashes when opening the Dropbox desktop app.
  • Fixed a bug for some macOS users who were stuck in a syncing state.
