Hello,

 

I have a PC with 2 users, and 2 partitions (C drive, with all the apps and D drive with Dropbox folder and files).

For my 1st user, I installed Dropbox, and sync all my files into D:\Dropbox

 

Now, I login to the 2nd user, login to Dropbox (with the same credentials as the 1st user), point into D:\ drive, but got an error message that "This folder already contains a Dropbox directory".

 

How to sync my Dropbox app with the same folder?

I did it before on other PC without any problems.

Hi Lusil,

 

An update: I log out and log in into Dropbox app. Than, I entered the path correctly (D:\Dropbox), and now I am able to have the same D:\Dropbox folder sync with 2 users.

Hi there @Uriel1, thanks for checking back on the Dropbox Community.

Do you get the same experience if you try to move the Dropbox folder to a different path?

Did you go through the complete process of installing the desktop app on the second user profile as well?

Hi Lusil,

 

I got this notification, while I tried to move Dropbox folder. Originally, I was sure that I choose to sync my D Drive, but after the fully sync, I got an error that C drive is full. So I looked in the app, and noticed that it was saved into C drive...

 

So, i tried to move Dropbox in D and got this error message.

 

Is that a bug? (As mentioned, I have another PC with 2 users, where both are refering into D:\Dropbox folder), without any issue.
