.3dm files has UFO icon despite having file extension

New member | Level 2

Some of my files are showing up as the UFO icon even though they have the file extension attached. I have jpegs, PDFs, psd, ai...are all showing up normally, but anytime I put a .3dm file in my folder it shows as the UFO. Never had a problem before in the past 6 years, until this week.

Hi @DivesWitDaSharks, thanks for posting today!

The UFO icon means that the Dropbox site doesn't know the type of file it is, as in if it's an image, video etc., so it can't be previewed on the site.

If you create a file with an unknown file type, then you'll get the same icon appearing on the site.

Hope this helps to clarify matters!
