4K Video downgraded to 720P in Dropbox PRO

4K Video downgraded to 720P in Dropbox PRO

I have a 4K video that plays in full resolution in my Google Drive.

However............when I uploaded it to my Dropbox it has been downgraded to 720P resolution.

Guess I should stick with Google Drive.

Mind you, I have Broadband Internet, so it is definitely DROPBOX that is downgrading my HD videos to 720P.

What a waste of money.

Hi @francaisgirl7777, thanks for posting on the Community!

Dropbox doesn't alter your files without any user interaction on them.

If you're previewing the video via the Dropbox site, then the resolution is reduced for the preview only.

However, if you download the file from the site, then it will remain as the original file, still in 4K.

Hope this helps to clarify matters!
