5000 photos cannot be accessed

5000 photos cannot be accessed

MartinMcCarthy

Hi really hoping someone can help me. Uploading camera roll from iPhone to Dropbox and although 4000 files have uploaded, 5000 have not.

Any idea how to get these uploaded?

They cannot be corrupt as they can be viewed on IPhone.

I am also needing the space on my phone and I deleted iCloud for Dropbox, and I cannot go through 9000 pictures to work out which have loaded to Dropbox and which have not.

When I changed the file format from JPG to HEIC it loaded the remaining pictures.

Seems all is good

Hi @MartinMcCarthy, thanks for messaging the Community!

Are you uploading the images manually to your account, or via the automatic camera upload feature?

Could you forward a screenshot showing your camera upload settings on the mobile app if it is via that method?

This will help me to assist further!

Not sure how to send a picture on this?

Photo Back Up ON
Upload Videos ON
Use Cellular Data ON
All Photos :heavy_check_mark:

Does the app show that it has completed uploading, or that there are still some files to upload?

Have you tried rebooting the app and device to see if this helps with the uploading?

I have had 4000 upload already. Then in the Photos tab, at the top it says X Pictures Cannot Be Accessed.

Did you try the steps I provided previously?

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and re-installing it to see if this helps?
