A recipient is seeing an error message that his system isn't compatible when loading a shared link.

Helpful | Level 5

I have sent invitations to my dance students to access my class information in my dropbox. Most seem to be able to access the folder with just one click. However, one student with a Mac using Safari gets a message saying that the system is not compatible and therefore is not able to open the dropbox folder witih the link. Any ideas why Safari is sending this message? I have a MacPro laptop and have no trouble with dropbox on Safari.

Hey @lndanz, let’s see what could have gone wrong together!

For starters, can you clarify if you’ve sent your students a view-only shared link or you’ve invited them to a shared folder

If the former is happening, then they may have to update Safari or try to loading the shared link on a different browser. If the latter, then it would be best to check the exact error message they’re getting. It would be great if you could include a screenshot (omitting personal info) in your next message for me showing me what the error message reads.

Please let me know how you get on with my advice. Thanks!
