Accessing dropbox file

Explorer | Level 3

I've just installed Dropbox 99.4.501. Immedately after installation, the dropbox icons on the desktop & taskbar pointed at the local dropbox directory on my c drive, which is just what I want. For some reason, they have now been changed & seem to point to my dropbox directory in the cloud. Is this correct? It would seem to be the case as any attempt to move/copy a file to a directory refenced by the icon returns the message. 'Error. File of that name already exists'. If it is true, it means that anybody on my pc can access my dropbox files without logging in.

Dropboxer

Hi @OldCodger1, thanks for joining the Community!

Could you clarify what you’re referring to on your device?

A screenshot showing this, while hiding any personal information, would be greatly appreciated.

Keep me posted!
