Account empty but not able to upload videos due to no space

Explorer | Level 3

Hi,

I have deleted everything from my dropbox account to have more space. I also see on my settings that I have a lot of space but I can not upload videos automatically. It says that I am out of space, I already turned the upload settings on and off, rebooted device (iphone 10) but nothing helped out.

Hi @Miguel Peralta, thanks for posting on the Community!

Could you check that you're logged into the same account on the mobile device? How much quota available do you have on your account here?

How large are the files you're trying to upload? Is it possible there's a large video waiting to be uploaded?

Keep me posted!

Hi Jay,

Yes it is the same account, I am already logged on the same account for years.

I have 4GB available, is that what you mean with quota? Cause I can not press on the “here” nlue link.

The videos that I am uploading are all between 10 and 30 mb’s.

There is no video waiting, I have the following message: You don’t have enough space to continue.

When I select one video manually I am able to upload it, there is onlt one video with 100mb that I am not able to upload manually.

Also photos are being uploaded automatically without any problem.

Do you have enough free storage on your iPhone in order for the uploads to be processed?

Could you try freeing up space on the phone to see if this helps?

Maybe the GBs of the video is more than the GBs available in your Dropbox Storage.

Hi Middle,

No, as I mentioned in one of my replies before the videos are between 10 and 50 mb’s. It’s just small videos that I recorded with my phone. Most of them are just some seconds.

Also if I upload it manually they are being uploaded to my account.

Is there any contact for customer service so I can get this solved?

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the mobile app, rebooting the phone, and reinstalling it to see if this helps with the uploading?

Let me know how it goes!
