Adding to a shared folder (with editing permission) when I am out of storage space

Adding to a shared folder (with editing permission) when I am out of storage space

Hi, my account storage is full, but I have access to edit a shared folder of a friend who has a lot of storage space. All I want to do is send them a file, or rather, put one in their folder. Why can't I do this? How do I do this?

Also my deleted folder isn't emptying and I can't delete other files so I can't clear space either. Nightmare.

Hey @hypergish; welcome to our Community and happy Friday!

In this case, since shared folders take up space towards each of their members accounts, in this case, I'd suggest asking your friend to open up a file request for you to upload files back to their account.

For a complete breakdown of your account's quota, you can take a look at your plan tab

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi @hypergish

If you are out of quota you cannot upload to the folder - even if thats owned by somebody else.

Also, for info, deleted items do not use up quota so deleting them wont do anything
