Author not showing in Showcase

When previewing my showcase I see the myself as the author of the page. But when someone opens the showcase (who's not logged in to DropBox), it shows a "G" as author.. How can I fix this? See below screenshots:

Hmm, I’d recommend moving this discussion to email due to sensitive info required so as to further investigate this with you. For this reason, I’ve sent you an email to the email address associated with your Forum profile.

Hi Dropbox support team,

I have the same question concerning this issue. Is it possible to show an authors profile picture (instead of a red circle with a “G” in it) to people who are not logged in?

Hi there @filbro, thanks for reaching out to us about this. 

I looked into this with the team and it seems that the author's icon should be visible if the user viewing the Showcase has a Dropbox account and is signed in. 

If the Showcase is viewed by someone without a Dropbox account or using an incognito browser, they should see the G icon as a Guest.

Hi Lusil, thanks for your answer.

Hmm, I don’t know if this makes sense to me. It’s unclear if the icon is the placeholder for the (showing) user or for the (viewing) guest. I think, if the author decides to show his icon/photo, than it should also be visible for guests (in contrast to the email adress, which of course is absolutely correct to not show it).

This is silly.  If the author wants to be shown, which is frankly pretty darn often...it should show!  Under any state of login!  

Please change that!

I'm also having this bug. Reached out to support, will share a reply if they have an answer. Showcase seems so buggy for such a simple product. Lusil's answer indicates lack of understanding of the product which clearly has a toggle switch that says "Show Author" or "Hide Author", not show or hide current user's face here. Cruddy support as usual.
