Hi

Am i right dropbox doesn’t need to be backed up? In case of a crash i just reinstall dropbox on the fixed computer or another computer?

Well, it's always good practice to have more than one backup. If you can, follow the 3-2-1 rule for backups; three copies of your data, on at least two different mediums, with one being stored off-site.

 

That being said, should you need to rebuild your computer, you only need to install Dropbox on the new build and allow your files to sync back to the computer.
