Best Way to Share a Short Video

Explorer | Level 3

I am new here to Dropbox. My question is... can a another person upload a short video to my Dropbox?  You see, I am coordinating a small conference next month and I have asked a few people to send short video greetings, probably no longer than 2 minutes.

What is the best way to go on this... should people upload the video to my Dropbox or just send a link?

Hey there @LoneStarSoaper, thanks for posting your question to the Community!

If you want others to upload videos to your Dropbox account, you have two options: inviting users to a shared folder with edit rights, or sending them a file request

With the first option (creating a shared folder and inviting users with edit permissions) users can add the videos to the shared folder. However, please bear in mind that they will need to have a Dropbox account and all members who have joined it will be able to edit/delete the files in the shared folder.

With the second option (feature requests) users will be able to add the videos to a specific folder of your choice, without needing a Dropbox account and without having access to the folder containing in question.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
