Camera uploads restarts syncing with the same photos after emtying the Dropbox

Hey there,

since I have Dropbox installed on my new IPhone, the camera upload restarts over and over again with the same pictures after emtying the dropbox.
Here is what I do/did:

- Took some pictures

- Installed Drop box and activated Camera upload

- photos and videos were uploaded via Wifi

- my dropbox was almost full, so I emptied the dropbox camera upload folder on my pc (which is what I always did after uploads with my old phone)

--> But then the upload restarted with the pictures that were already secured

Since I know it worked with my former Dropbox setting on my old phone I am hopeful, someone can explain what I did wrong this time. I only wish to upload each file once.

Can you clarify for me if you see any duplicate files on our website and if this happened just once while the desktop app was syncing on your computer?

Hello Walter,
no, I do not see / have duplicate Files in my Dropbox Folder. I emptied the camera upload folder (by copying them to my pc and deleting them afterwards). But then Dropbox starts to upload the same pictures and does not proceed with the ones that weren‘t uploaded before.
I did not have this problem with my old mobile phone. The same file was only saved once to my Dropbox folder.

Did you give enough time to the app to sync those changes normally @co795?

Was it showing 'up to date' when you did that or was it still syncing in your system tray/menu bar?
