Hi!

Can I make a shared album for me and my friends, all of us uploading photos, even though MY account is running out of space?

Hi @emmdjej, thanks for messaging today!

It sounds like you want to create a file request, which allows people to upload files into your account directly, even without Dropbox accounts of their own.

However, this would take up quota on your account, and once it is full, no further files can be added to the request and files will stop syncing.

Shared folders would also work the same way, and would take up quota on each members' accounts.

Hope this helps to clarify matters!

Hi Jay,

I'm having the same issue. How do I know my quota, and when that quota is reached?  The folder shows the appropriate number of members (people I've invited with edit access), but some aren't able to actually upload files.

Hey @cmayfield2; how are you today?

I'm sorry for the slightly late reply; are you still having issues with this?

If you do, please note that you can check your own account's quota in your plan tab, always keeping in mind that shared folders do take up space towards each member's individual quota.

Let us know if you have any more questions!
