Can I drag and drop files from Dropbox into software like ReceiptBank, AutoEntry or HubDoc?

Hello @CarolineB. Welcome to the Dropbox Community! 

Yes! You can. If you have the Dropbox desktop application, you can drag the files out to use them in other apps.

Please note that dragging the file out of the Dropbox folder, will be "tracked" as a deletion for the  Dropbox app and this deletion will reflect on Dropbox.com and any other devices linked to it. 

If you don't intent to delete these files from Dropbox, you can copy them and move the copy to the third party apps.

Alternatively, you can download the files from the web to use them in third party apps.
