Can I edit a file request link?

Explorer | Level 3

Love the file request feature, but wondering if there is a way to edit the link to be something simpler.  Working on a project that will involve a lot of submissions of ad materials from different clients, and would like to be able to print the address on an ad insertion order, so would like something that is shorter and easier for people who might be typing it in.

Hi @johnhalldesign. Happy Friday!

I understand what you are trying to do, unfortunately there is no option to edit the file request link at the time.

The options you have, editing a file request, are to edit the "What you are requesting?" area or the location the files will be redirected to (which folder).

Read all about Dropbox file requests and the edit options.

Thanks for posting about your user case and how file requests would work better for you!

Pass the link through a link shortening service, such as bit.ly.
