Can I put my shared folders into another folder without affecting them?

New member | Level 2

I was granted 3 shared folders: A, B, C to my dropbox acct. There are too many folders on my dropbox on my desktop. Can I nest A, B and C under a new folder D on my computer and still keep the share active?

Dropbox

A

B

C

This becomes:

Dropbox

D

   A

   B

   C

Re: Shared folder question

Dropboxer

Hey @Swanson000, I hope you're well today!

As long as the folder D isn't a shared folder, you can move those shared folders into folder D without affecting the sharing permissions at all. It won't affect the folder for the other shared members either.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions about this!
