Can I rename a Dropbox File Transfer?

New member | Level 2

I am using Dropbox 'Transfer' which is excellent, but the list of transfers I have is literally just a list of the transferred files... I would like to be able to name the transfer.  I create thr transfer by 'adding from Dropbox', and there seems to be no way to add a name for that transfer before I copy the link to send to my clients... this means that its quite difficult to see what the status of a particular transfer is when there are a lot in the list... cant I name the transfer somewhere?  many thanks, Mark

Hello @markbolton!

Thanks for trying the Dropbox Transfer feature and sharing your feedback.

You can add files to your transfer, clicking the plus icon, dragging and drop files from your computer or clicking "Add from Dropbox".

Dropbox transfers are also listed in your Dropbox account online. This is how you can always check the list of active transfers in your account and even delete them if you wish. Read more about this here.

If you don't see any transfers in your account's list online, please note that transfers expire after a cetrain period of time. Expired transfers will not show up in this list anymore but in the expired transfers tab.

Let me know if you were able to find these options please. Feel free to share more feedback. Do the lists on the website help you keep track with your transfers?

I'll be more than happy to further assist with this.

Thanks in advance Mark!
