I'm a fairly basic Dropbox user and have just had my company folders shared to me.
I can see them fine on Dropbox in my web browser and on the app in my iOS devices but in my MacBook's Finder window the top level folder appears to be completely empty.
Any thoughts on how I get visibility & access?
Hi Jay, thanks very much for answering
the Dropbox app on my laptop is saying that its syncing my files, but its said that all day...
When I hover over the menu icon it says its up to date
Thanks again for your reply Jay
I solved the issue after Dropbox support asked me to supply the following:
- Screenshot of what you see when you open your Dropbox desktop app preferences and then click the Synctab. Under Selective Sync, click Choose folders (Mac). It should display the folders in your Dropbox account. If your folders appear to be unchecked there, this means that they are online only and they are not saved on your hard drive.
The folders were unchecked and when I selected the ones I wanted they became visible in my Mac Finder window.
Hope this helps others.
