I have a very large folder (700GB) that I need to copy onto a hard drive. However, whenever I try to do it, it says "Error creating zip file". The folder has many subfolders so downloading them one by one isn't an option. Any help or advice on how to get that folder to my hard drive will be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi @damanichispanic, thanks for posting on the Community!
Is this folder on your Dropbox account, or via a shared link which is only accessible from the site?
Do you have the Dropbox desktop application installed on your machine?
Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!

Hello, I have the Dropbox app on my Desktop, yes. The folder isn't synched to my computer hard drive because it is too large (700+gb). I'm just looking for a way to download it completely into an external hard drive.
The folder is in my Dropbox account.
I am attaching a screenshot (it's in Spanish) of the "error creating zip file" pop-up window.
Thanks for the info. Currently, it isn't possible to download over 20 GB of data, or 10,000 files when downloading entire folders from your account.
You'd either need to download the files in smaller batches, or sync it using the Dropbox app since there is no limit there.
