Hi,

 

Firstly, I just can't find the "Resend referal invite" button anywhere. I've sent the referal to my friend and he accidentally deleted it.

 

Secondly, I've seen some people talking about how I don't need to resend the invite and how he can just create the account using his email. That's a total lie since when he created the account using his email I didn't get extra space and the referal status changed to:

Your invite wasn't accepted
  • Your invite to XXX was never accepted
  • XXX is already using Dropbox, sorry!

He can just join using the same email address that you sent the referral to and the bonus would be awarded, however, if you weren't the first person to refer him, you wouldn't get the bonus space.

 

Resending the referral now won't do any good. He's already joined using that email address. Even if he were to delete the account and rejoin, the referral would likely be seen as invalid as he had an existing account (and might also trigger whatever system they have that marks referrals as suspicious). And if you're thinking of just having him sign up with a different email address that you refer, remember that Dropbox needs to be installed to a unique computer for a referral to be awarded. If he already installed it on his computer, that computer can't be used for another referral.

 

Best you can do now is to contact Support and explain the issue to them. They may award the space if they believe it was legitimate.

Replies take approximately 1 - 3 business days with Plus and Professional users getting priority (longer for Basic users).
