Can you request access from folders that are deleted?

Can you request access from folders that are deleted?

Hi!

I had disposable photos sent to me by a photo business via a Dropbox link, but I am not sure if the link has expired (the business did not say anything about deleting the Dropbox link/link expiration).

I'm getting two different messages when I try to access the folder that was emailed to me by the photo business.

One email message prompts me to open the shared folder and then to "Request access"; the other brings me to an error message (images attached for reference).

My question is: can you be prompted to access the folder in the first place if the folder was deleted? I feel hopeful that there's still something there if I can request access.

Is there a way to restore this folder if it was deleted long ago (about a year and a couple months)?

Thanks so much for your help! I really, really appreciate it.

Hey @mbmedia, thanks for reaching out to our Community!

From the screenshots in your post, I can understand that this photo business shared the actual folder with you, not just a link.

Also, it looks like you are trying to open the folder, while logged in to a different Dropbox account than the one they invited.

They invited the email address you received the invitation at, so you'll need to login to that Dropbox account to access the folder.

Now, if this photo business deleted the folder so long ago, I'm afraid it cannot be restored.

Let me know if you have any questions.
