Cannot add folder

Cannot add folder

Explorer | Level 3

Hello,

I have a basic unpaid account and I understand I am supposed to have 2 GB of space. However, it will not let me add a folder and prompts me to purchase an account, despite that the folder is 899 KB. How can I add the folder?

Hi @steve090; thanks for joining the Community!

Can you please let me know where exactly are you seeing this message and what's your account's plan tab reporting in regards to your quota?

Thanks!

Hello,

I am receiving this message under the "shared" column where the shared folder comes up. My plan is Dropbox basic. Thank you.

Thanks for the additional information, @steve090.

Could you send us a screenshot of what the Plan tab shows, so that we have a better visual of what you're seeing?

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Sorry for the late reply, @steve090, and thank you for the screenshot!

Could you switch to another browser or try adding the shared folder after you clear the browser's cache?

If you're still having trouble, could it be that the user has added more content to the shared folder, making it larger than what your account can handle?

Keep us posted!
