Cannot delete file from a folder

Cannot delete a video sent to me and is in a folder.  Tried all the usual methods of deleting on my computer, dragging to Recycle bin and using delete buttons after selecting the file.    The sender said it has been deleted from his folder and when I look on line in Dropbox the file is not showing there either.  I could copy the file and place it in my Videos folder on my computer using Windows 10.

Any simple suggestions?   Thanks

Managed to clear this file.  Turned my computer off and then logged back in to my Dropbox and the file was deleted!
