Cannot share/save any Apple Numbers files to long-time existing Dropbox account

Explorer | Level 3

I have been using Dropbox for years and have dozens of different spreadsheets saved to various folders in my Dropbox account. As I update a spreadsheet on my iPad I upload the new version to my Dropbox and overwrite the old version but recently I have been unable to accomplish this without dedicating an unreasonable amount of effort to the process.  When I attempt to share/save a new version of a Numbers record to my Dropbox I get an error message ‘An unknown error has occurred’ (see the attached images. I get this error message several times in a row and if I keep trying eventually I’m able to successfully save th new version of my spreadsheet but it takes a considerable number of efforts to do so. What is going on?! Yes I’ve got the latest version of Dropbox (92.3.2) and Numbers (4.0) on my iPad with iOS version (11.3). SO IRRITATING! 😡19243299-61DB-4C4F-A9DE-7E0F2FDC9D00.jpeg557BA17A-45EA-492B-A042-BF4ABBA245DF.jpeg80A6F7BB-393A-4F11-946F-1CA991616511.jpeg

I just found an email I received from Kevin at Dropbox support on April 26th requesting that I update to the latest version of Numbers. I am using the latest version and just attempted to save an updated version of my spreadsheet to Dropbox. It worked. I would like this ticket to remain open for a bit longer as a single successful upload does not a fix confirm, if that’s ok.

Thanks for keeping me updated on the progress here JalapenoCheese, I hope you’re doing well today!

For starters, let me quickly update the thread with the troubleshooting suggested by our team specialist: If you're running the latest versions both on iOS & Dropbox, the next step would be to ensure that you're also working on the most updated "Numbers" version.

Following, we’re totally on the same page here, as I can see that my colleague, Kevin, had last messaged you on April 26th regarding this request & I’m glad to hear that when you attempted to reproduce this worked for you. When it comes to the ticket in question, I can see that this has now been closed due to inactivity (since last Monday), though I’d happily follow-up with you in any way I can & create a new one (if needed).

That being said, in case you notice that this persists for you or you notice any other discrepancies with the “Save to” functionality, please let me know here & I’ll make sure to follow-up from where we’ve left off.

Alternatively, you can also reply to Kevin’s latest reply, which will trigger the creation of a new ticket on our system, which will then be sent back to our team specialists for review.

I hope this is helpful to you & I’m always here, so please let me know how you’d like us to proceed on this discussion. Happy Friday!

I just received a pop up that said numbers files are no longer supported. May as well move everything out of Dropbox at this point since that’s most of my business there.

I have not personally run into this pop up message recently so I certainly hope this is a mistake. Apple users are many and we don't all use Excel or Word.

Hey @Uguessedit, can you share this screenshot with us here (omitting personal info), in order to paint a clearer picture? Also, can you confirm that you’ve updated both apps to the latest version?

Thanks to both for keeping the thread going & I appreciate it that you took some time to share your input @JalapenoCheese!
