A person in my shared folder got an email that he made changes to the folder (uploaded several documents) but he didn't do this nor was he logged in that day. Why would he get this email?
Did YOU also get that email? As it would go to all users in the share.
If not my guess is its a fake phishing email to try and steal his logon details

Thanks! That sounds like that might be the case. My only concern is the email is from "firstname.lastname@example.org".
Its easy enough to fake that - if you use Outlook (desktop client, not web) you can change where an email comes from, or rather appears to, via the Preferences menu.
