Combine folders from two different computers

My main machine is a macbook pro but I have an imac at home that i use as well.  I would like map the Desktop, Downloads and Document folders so they stay in sync.  For example the download forlder on each machine will have all the same data (combination of the macbook and imac).

I am just having a hard time wrapping my brain around how to accomplish this.
