Connected apps can only see 12 folders

Connected apps can only see 12 folders

Helpful | Level 5

Hi,

Using my desktop or the dropbox app on a mobile device is working perfectly in terms of syncing and file access. However, I have tried to give several e-reader apps access to Dropbox and all of them only show what apparently is 12 random folders in my dropbox account, as opposed to the entire file structure. Does anyone have any idea why?

Note that the separate apps all showed the same 12 folders, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason in terms of size or complexity in the folders that are shown.

Thanks.

Sanchez,

I discovered something interesting tonight. I downloaded another e-reader, and this one made me input my email and password on the Dropbox website in order to authenticate. When I did so, all my files were viewable.

The other the readers had simply asked me to "allow" access via the app anddid not make me input username/password.

Hi, @rc19. Welcome to our Community!

I’d like to see what you’re seeing, both online, and in one of the e-readers. Could you reply with a couple of screenshots that show your files/folder there (barring any personal/sensitive info)? I’m interested in the file names, and the folder icons, mostly.

Get back to me when you can, and we’ll go from there!

Hi Sanchez,

See below...I hope they help.

I'm not expecting the text files necessarily to show up, but I'm surprised that the folders are not.
