Hey there @rhawk, I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with this!
There was a newer version of the desktop app released recently than the one you have installed at the moment.
Can you just download and run the installer from here, to update the app to the latest version, to see if that does the trick?
Let me know how it goes!

I reinstalled dropbox and I still get the same error
In that case, could you try an advanced reinstall @rhawk?
Just make sure to install it with admin privileges on your computer upon that process.

Walter,
I am on a Windows 10 operating system.
Oh, shoot; I'm sorry I missed that @rhawk.
Since you're on Windows, could you disable any antivirus and try to install our desktop app again from this link?

Hi @rhawk,
If your issue is still actual, try a simple trick (I assume your Dropbox application isn't running
What's going on? Does it crash again? If yes, are still the three 5 reside in the "mode" related to the Dropbox folder?
Hope this helps.
Ok. I created the new DropboxTmp folder. I then went to the Dropbox folder and did a copy and then paste to the DropboxTmp folder.
No problem with this. I then tried to delete the Dropbox folder and a popup said that I did not have administrator permission to delete this folder. I checked to see if I had admin permission and I do.
