I'm having a few issues when trying to create links and sharing files.
I just get a loading animations...
Any idea why this is happening and how I can make it work?

The file has been uploaded for some time. I seem to be having this issue with the majority of my DropBox files... files that were uploaded a long time ago. It's very odd... and very frustrating

I've cleared the cache and its still not letting me share or get a link.
I've tried other folders and I can get a link for them but I still get the loading dots when I try to share the folder.
A bit of extra info that might be useful... I'm using an account associated with the company I work with. Various people are accessing/uploading/downloading etc from these folders. I had an email from a collegue who needs access to the folder. The email had a link for me to approve their access ...but as I've already said it won't let me.

No, it's happened a few times in the past to various folders. My get around has been to ask another member of staff with access to do it and they've been able to do it quite easily so no idea why it's just me.
