After the last update of windows 10 my excel files stored in dropbox lost part of the data: in these files I have daily tables and all the information uploaded during the last month was lost. If I use the version history it only lets me go back to the date of 1 month ago, it is as if the last month I was loading did not exist. Is it possible to recover the data that was lost?
As you're not seeing the missing versions in the version history of the file, then there's a few possibilities as to what happened:
The files are located in a different area on your account, and you're looking at an older version
The were saved on another Dropbox account
The files didn't sync to the Dropbox site from your machine
I'd first check the events page to see if there were any recent changes to files on your account. Additionally, you can check to see if the desktop app is syncing correctly by telling me what message you see when you hover over the Dropbox icon.
