Delete my files and desk-top from drop-box?

Hi, 

I just want to use drop-box cause getting ability do a folder that I share with my study-buddies, but now drop-box put all my stuff from desk-top in drop-box, how can I delete desk-top from drop-box without loose everything in my computer?
