Delete thumbnails from the iPad App before it opens

How do I delete thumbnails for the iPad App when it is pressed and held down?  These thumbnails appear before the app opens - kind of like a preview mode.

Hi @beardedone, thanks for joining the Community!

In order to understand what you're seeing, could you attach a screenshot showing these thumbnails?

Do you currently have a passcode enabled on your Dropbox mobile app?

This will help me to assist further!

Yes, I have a passcode enabled on my mobile app.  As requested, attached is a picture.  This is the image that comes up when I place my finger on the app but do not start it.  BTW, the images represented by the thumbnails were deleted from my Dropbox folder a while ago.

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and re-installing it to see if this helps?

Thanks, I tried this before posting to the thread and again today. Somewhere these thumbnails are in the memory, as after reinstalling before I login (when pressing the icon) the preview thumbnails can still be seen.

Could you try deleting the cache of the Dropbox mobile app?

It's in the app's settings. Tap Account on the bottom-right, then the gear icon at the top left of the Account page. Scroll down and you'll find an option to clear cache.

Thanks! I cleared the cache and the thumbnails still appear.

Just to clarify, these images you're seeing are definitely images that no longer appear on your Dropbox account online or on the mobile app?
