Delete user without breaking links?

Delete user without breaking links?

Explorer | Level 3

When we delete a user, all of the links associated with files that that person uploads to Dropbox break and we have to search through Dropbox manually to find them. This is a pain for our team because they have all of the links organized in Airtable. Is there a way to avoid this?

Hi @ealbers, I hope you're well today!

Could you clarify for me if you're using a Business team, or are the accounts that you're using/deleting personal accounts (Basic, Plus or Professional)?

Also, are you using a shared link, or the URL link to the file in Dropbox?

Let me know - thanks!

Daphne-

Thank you for your quick response. We are using a Business Team. Is there an easy way to see if the links we have in Airtable are shared links or the URL links to the files in Dropbox? I truly appreciate your help!

Thanks for your update @ealbers!

A shared link will look something like: www.dropbox.com/s/...?dl=0

A URL file path would look more like: www.dropbox.com/home/folder1/fodler2/filename

Hope this helps!
